Teacher and Blogger
Amy Scott was raised by an atheist misanthrope and a gregarious Unitarian in Boone, North Carolina. After graduating from Carolina and traveling hither and yon, Amy settled in New York City and wrangled fourth graders for a living. That was before, though. Now she lives in Durham with her two pit bulls and makes sixth graders read and write. All day. It’s like a literacy sweat shop up in there. She tells stories on the Monti stage and on her blogs (Baby Happy Pants, Fat CrossFitter, and Avid Bruxist), which gives her great pleasure.
